In a punk vein

 

'After the death of my father, the painter Harry Henriksen, in early 2007, there followed an initial period of stasis - absolutely empty of art. Slowly a sense of rage and rebellion grew into a phase in which I threw all of the inherited raffinesse and technical subtlety to one side and began to address certain deeper issues in an even more direct, gutsy, gutteral fashion. The results resemble a course of primal scream therapy in paint...Not for the easily queasy...'
